~*Photo Fieldtrip*~ (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
Nowadays, a digital camera is pretty handy, and you don't have to be a super savvy photographer to enjoy this activity either!~ Basically, the idea of this activity, is to gather up whomever you can, friends, family, co-workers, and meet up at a pre-designated area, such as a park, or trail, it can even be indoors, (as long as you ask for permission)! Then, everyone who has a camera (if need be, you can partner up into teams, if everyone doesn't have a camera, that way no one feels left out!) and the host of the event, will either pick a theme, such as (color, feeling, free-for-all) and everyone will go and capture photos, but the TRICK is not to show anyone what you take until the very end. After everyone is done taking photos, you can set an hour, or so for the timeframe, everyone can go to a retail store to get their photos printed digitally, then from there, it's all about SHOW and TELL!~ It will make for fun discussions, or creative ventures, if anyone wants to put together an album! And in nicer weather, vouches for a nice day out!
What you will need:
- A place that is good for photos
- A camera
- Friends!
::Just Remember Please:: It is considered rude to take photos of people or inside businesses, without them knowing, so please just ask first!

~Flying a Kite~(Spring, Summer, Fall Event)
Kites are dated back to Ancient China and Indonesia. They were originally either made of leaf or different silks and bamboo. Also, kites first started out as rectangles and then evolved into many different styles, sizes, and shapes as you can see today. I love to fly a kite, I actually got my Dad to fly one with me last summer. Ohohoho!~ That was awesome! You can get a kite fairly cheap, but you can also make a kite just as easily. There are a lot of instruction websites on making a kite, but I liked this one a lot, so click here to see more. I've always wanted to go to a kite festival, or just to get lots of people together to fly a kite. They all look so pretty in the sky! ^^
~Daily Passport~ (Anytime Event)
I've been excited to write about this, because I got to witness this very cool/fun activity. A mother had put together a book made of construction paper and bound it with staples for her daughter. Then on each page was an errand and beneath it two boxes. One box was to be checked off for an errand completed, and the other box was for "a witness" to initial to say it was completed. I got to be a witness!! Whoo! I got to initial the little girl's book. Anyway the best part of this, is that when the daily book was completed the daughter got a treat!! I love this idea and it probably keeps children well-behaved while out doing errands.I encourage you to find creative ways to use this "passport" idea. It could be used for anything! Either way I thought it was endearing and fun. You can also do a travel passport for areas around you, and check it off when you reach the places you want to go!~ ^^

~Rearranging Your Room~ (Spring Event)

Now, I know how some of us like to postpone "spring cleaning", and I've been one of these "postponers", but I would like to convince you why this is needed and also fun. I have found that I can get more inspired by cleaning a room, when I have the intention to rearrange it. They have a name for this, "Feng Shui" or something relatively close to that, and the whole concept behind it is to reinvigorate a room, stir up it's atmosphere and refresh everything! This goes well with Spring, because Spring is Mother Nature's Feng Shui!~
I believe everyone leaves behind a residue, especially strongest in places they reside most. The residues can vary from happy, refreshing, tired, tension-filled, so it's important to flush out excessive residue especially if it's negative. You'd be surprised how much the residue you leave behind can affect you.
Rin's Feng Shui!~
Here's a list of how I clean out atmospheres:
1.) Turn on some music. (You will be happy doing something tedious when your favourite music is in the background).
2.) Draw a picture to make a map of how you'd like your room to be situated and then start moving things, don't be afraid to move things around a lot, because you'll get the most out of your room that way.
3.) Wash all curtains, and bedspread. Flip your mattress over. (There's nothing like settling into a fresh bed)
4.) Open the windows and AIR OUT the room!!!
5.) Dust, vacuum, and don't forget under things or the corners.
6.) Bring in some flowers or houseplants. (There has been research on this, plants inside make you happier!!)
7.) Fragrance!! But try to keep it light, rooms can get stuffy with too much fragrance, so choose wisely. Also, some scents can help produce an atmosphere, such as calming, or fresh. So it's fun to pick out scents depending on what atmosphere you want!
8.) This is the most important!! After you finish rearranging/cleaning...PLAY! RELAX! Enjoy your new space!~
I just recently started doing this, I'm doing it in chunks, because my time is limited, and I don't like to overwork. I tend to play, more than I do work, but I have absolutely been overjoyed about my room lately since I have started.
BY THE WAY!~ I can't wait until spring!!~

~Puzzles~ (Rainy Day/Inside Event)
Some people nowadays overlook the pure fun and joy of doing a puzzle. I have always loved puzzles and I still do! They are great to do with a friend or loved one, and since puzzles can have a long duration until completion, they are wonderful for a quick sense of accomplishment, as well as a stress-reducer. There are so many types of puzzles, different sizes, and different pictures! I remember when I was little I would do these huge 500-1000 piece puzzles with my mum, in which she did most of the work (haha). I also remember fondly playing with my little brother, and the frustration of having a missing piece or not enough space to fill out the puzzle. That is one good point to having puzzles on the internet, the pieces are all there and you don't need a lot of space!~ :P Brain teaser puzzles can be fun too, but I find them highly annoying, I like the picture puzzles the best!Did you know:
~Puzzles were first created in the 1760's by European cartographers (map makers) who would paste up a map and cut it into pieces so as it could be a geographical education tool for little kids.
~Puzzles were first made in wood, then later where made in wood and cardboard.
~Puzzles were very popular in the Great Depression, because they were a cheap way to have fun for many days and then families would break their puzzles down and share with other families.
~First wooden puzzles were cut by a saw, thus receiving the title "Jigsaw Puzzle", but then later on when cardboard was introduced, metal die casts (sort of like metal cutting boards) which were two metal plates pressed together became a popular cutting method. Modernly with the access to printing styles like lithographers, pieces can be printed out.
~Puzzles back in the early 20th century did not come with a picture guide at all! That was part of the fun was to see what the picture was when it was completed. The puzzle would have a title and that would be the biggest hint.
~Puzzles were first made only for kids, then they were broadened to encompass adults as well! So you see, adults can still be interested in kid activities!!! ^_^
As much as I love to do puzzles online, there is just something about holding the puzzles in your hands and gazing upon a pile of puzzle pieces on the floor. And also I love the smell of a new puzzle! :D I already know I'm weird. :P
